How can a Tesla only be $150 cheaper to maintain than a Lincoln over 10 years? Are oil changes the only thing separating the two? Oil changes over 10 years would be more than $150 so what is costing more on the Tesla besides maybe tires?
All such "studies" produce the results expected by whoever is funding the study.

Just like a liberal loon. Blame domestic terrorism on Elon. I really hope your country doesn't become the 51st state of the Union. Dont need another liberal sheet-hole.
But just think if the USA does annex Canada: we can impose MAiD upon domestic terrorists, those keying Teslas.

From the link:

As a Tesla owner not sure what maintenance and repairs could be alluded to. I would exclude tires and wiper blades since all cars have to replace these.
So for an EV I would have to say maintenance and repairs should be close to $0 (excluding tires and wiper blades) in a 5 year period.
No, tires, wiper blades, brakes, etc are legitimate maintenance expenses. As are car washes. So perhaps more Tesla owners pay thousands for ceramic coating, adding to the cost of ownership?

I prepaid dealer maintenance for my 2013 Model S. 8 years cost $4000. Among other things they replaced wiper blades every year, much more often than I do myself.

"The Works" at my Ford dealer is $90. Said to be a 10,000 mile service but the dealer recommends every 6 months/5000 miles. Oil change, inspection, tire rotation (without balance).

I still don't understand where the Tesla costs are coming from. The article was updated in March and I'd like to see the original data prior to the Musk meltdown.

Obviously. What I was saying is that ALL cars have these legitimate maintenance expenses so take those out of the equation. What are the REAL maintenance expenses?
I would even say EV's in general have few if any maintenance with brakes over its lifetime.
Still say for most EV's the maintenance expense is virtually $0.

I love how you holier than thou Tesla owners call it " domestic terrorists " exaggerating much ! But as for the cost of maintenance on a Tesla......I think you should be far more worried about its resale value plummeting. The world is rejecting Tesla as a EV purchase option because of Musk's political horse actions he decided to pursue, and I suspect only the brave MAGA voter will buy one and only if they have a locked garage and a safe place to park at work. Europe sales have plummeted, China just dropped the bombshell of Tesla's self driving software being stopped in its tracks there.

Dr. Robert A. Pape, a University of Chicago professor who studies political violence, agrees with that characterization.

“Absolutely,” he told Scripps News in a phone interview. “There's no doubt that the attacks on Tesla stations, the Tesla dealerships are acts of political violence. Political violence involves the use of economic damage or harm to people in order to achieve a political purpose. Here, the purpose is quite clear: it is to deter Elon Musk from dismantling the government or acting in other ways to the furtherance of the Trump agenda. And the attacks are meant to cause damage.”
Under current United States law outlined in the USA PATRIOT Act, acts of domestic terrorism are those which: "(A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State; (B) appear to be intended – (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.

Firebombing Tesla service centers (as well as attacking people driving Teslas) absolutely fits the definition of domestic terrorism.

Only in your fantasy world is the "world" rejecting Tesla. In your sick perverted mind you would like to see a company that employs thousands of people go bankrupt because "Musk bad".

I and another family member both bought new cars at the same time, me an SRT Charger 392, and he a Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor. At the time, I remember pointing out to him that the closest Tesla service center was something like 2 hours away, and that was one of several factors making the car less appealing to me. His counter argument was to say he should never have to visit the Tesla service center, so distance really wasn't a factor.

About two years in, we revisited that topic, and he had to admit he'd made more trips to that Tesla service center than he'd even care to admit. I think it was due mostly to recalls and other assembly issues. His Model 3 was a 2017 model year.

Meanwhile, my lowly Dodge Charger has still never visited a dealer for anything other than annual safety inspection and tires, in the 9 years I've owned it. And even so, the dealer is 10 minutes from my house, I literally drift past it almost every day.
