I need to clarify my statement. It is a TSC is a decent place to shop for certain things. I do buy my stainless brushes from them. Can't find them anywhere else. Those hobart orange handle brushes are tough and you have a couple of different choices. I bought a welding clamp as well from there (F style). But for stick electrodes stored, and handled properly not the best place. For a wide variety of choices for welding gloves, safety glasses, shields, etc... it is not the place I go to.

I really like Mississippi Welders Supply. They will deal with non-pros without the attitude you sometimes get at trades-specialist shops (at least my local one). Helpful and well-stocked. I like 'em!

Yeah they are and they don't charge to much for their stuff either .When I go back to work I have to pick up a torch set for my shop.

Mark, while we are on this. What is the difference between the 6010 output and the "normal" Never fully understood that feature. Is it just changing Polarity?

Marks reply is great in a nutshell. If you want to dig deeper, Look up Open Circuit Voltage in Welding. 6010 and 6011 cellulose coated rods require a higher open circuit voltage than the other variety of rods. They are more difficult to keep lit at a reasonable arc length because of the flux.. OCV allows the rod to stay lit better by supplying higher voltage for the cellulose rods. Typically machines with higher OCV have lower duty cycles because of wasted voltage trying to keep the rod lit. The nice thing about having a 6010 port is that you don't have to waste voltage all the time, Only when burning 6010 and 6011 ( I don't like either one really ).. High OCV machines also sometimes require a larger breaker to perform at maximum output. I like the idea of a 6010 port rather than a high OCV continuous.
