Those plastic wedges have gotten me out of trouble lots of times. The plastic is solid orange through and through but they still get lost in the woods.

I've been using plastic wedges for a few years actually since they came into existence.

Who needs wedges if you have a couple of pushers.

I wish I could afford two helpers.

Me too!

No matter how it looked, those guys prolly weren't actually doing very much, except being lucky the trees didn't land on them, regardless of those spiked poles.

It appeared to me that the tops of those poles were well below the place (if there is one) on the tree where they could exert enough force to make any significant difference.

I kept trying to tell how they attached the spikes to the ends of the poles. Couldn't tell for sure, then I noticed that one pusher who braced the pole in the approximate spot where I had my last hernia. Oh, my.

I have had a tree set back on the stump and had the saw stuck. We pushed and pushed and it just set there. Dad backed the ton truck up to the tree and One person stood on the back of the truck and easily pushed the tree over. Where we pushed was about the height the pushers were pushing. A little height makes a huge difference. I have thought of making a pusher like they have that works on an old bumper jack but never really needed it. Ed
