I have been clearing/reclaiming some land on the side of the hill next to yard. Pretty rocky and overgrown.

I have a few stubborn stumps that I pick one and work on it a little at a time with whatever implement I have on at the time like the grapple, toothbar bucket, or back and boxblades. As the hill is a bit steep. This involves working on the top or bottom and ramming into the earth under/around the stump.
While working in OSHA approved shorts and t shirt I noticed my phone missing from cargo pocket of shorts. Grabbed another phone and started calling it.
Nothing.
Went in house and grabbed metal detector and went mine sweeping over worked area.
Nothing. Except some crushed, smashed, bits and pieces of BudLite cans.(come to think of it, that's what I drink. Hmmm....)
Back in house. Changed coil on metal detector to the one that will pick up a metal plate in a worm's head and reworked it.
Right where one of the rear wheels was spinning & digging in at one of the stump digging endeavors, I got a beep that said 16" deep.
Started digging it and about a foot down I Tryed calling again. I heard the muffled ring in the hole! A little bit more and TaDaa.

Cleaned it up. It was in one of those cases that protect them and all was well. Whew!(phone was 2 weeks old) (and I'm a tightwad)
The area turned out rather nice also. Except for all those holes scattered around in it that some idiot dug up!

No more phone in cargo pants pockets for me.
