oooh, Nomex undies,
sexeeeee!
Just Kidding Pat, that's something my wife would say if she saw your post.
Anyway, back on topic,
My wife and I went and looked at a property today here in VT. We're not really sure if it's 34 or 40 acres because it was surveyed so long ago and the owners were actually going to put it into the Vermont Land Trust with several other acres. We want it, but that's not what I'm writing about. While we were looking at the property, I looked around and saw 2 Kubota compacts, a JD farm tractor, and two older Fords. 4 properties, 3 different brands. There was a lighter green tractor and a gray one off in the distance, might have been an Oliver and a White or something. There's a reason there aren't a lot of Kubota farm tractors in VT, one I can't remember, but the compact market is a toss up. Kubota, JD, and NH are clearly the best represented, but there are several others around too. The dealers around me are all great, and I've never heard them say a bad thing about any of the big three, or MF which has a tiny market share here. The MF dealer didn't love NH, the son had some bad comments, but his dad told me it was because His brother had an old one that gave them a lot of trouble. That's the harshest commentary I've heard from a dealer about anothe brand. Guess I live in a friendly part of the country.
Made my decision based on size, weight, price, and a gut feeling. Lucky for me, the B2710 was closest in specs, other than a MF that would have cost me more, to my perfect tractor. No regrets so far.
