Ever take the tractor somewhere you know you should not?

Or parked in front of a motel...

Ok-- I just had to add this..
Today I was driving down a back road in Rutherford County, NC and I saw a Jeep Wrangler with a funny sitcker on the windshield.

It said, If you can read this turn me over. (this sticker was up side down.)

and when I read the title here, I thought- somewhere someone has that on their ROPS....

And then I thought now that is a sick person that should not be allowed to own a tractor... and to this title here- that is somewhere or someway you know you should not be with your tractor...

and now I return you to the regular insanity of the world..

Robj, I don't know how you do as well as you do with 2WD. 4WD has saved me so much trouble in no-traction situations, that I now view it as a virtual necessity for small tractors. Basically I operate mine as 2WD tractors with a built in recovery system. Operating alone, as I do, 4WD is some of the best money I've ever spent.
Bob

Like some, if I had 4wd I would probably get stuck more often and worse! These tractors are not good in mud...hands down. Always a little less brave with a 2wd. I learned this while I had 2wd pickups and it carried over when I got my 4wd pickups. First thing I made for my first 4wd truck, was a multi mount winch system. Only had to use it twice on the old 150, once on the front, once on the back, zero times on the f250.

A man errrr tractor has to know its limitations! :D Hanging out on a lakes edge...is one of them. :D :D

Rob I would be the one in the little geo waveing to you as I pass you stuck on the mountain trail. I have taken that little car places the 3' clearance 4x4's worry about. tis a matter of knowing your machine ;) aggs and 4wd are all I need.

"These tractors are not good in mud...hands down." hehe must be your modle ;) mine talks about makeing sure you have a step stool for exiting the tractor in rice pattys :D

Texas that is how to get stuck properly!

Funny man, gonna have to say those rice pattys have a little silt, then solid clay...not a mud bog. Sort of like crossing rock bottom streams. :D A real mub bog will bottom out most of our tractors before hitting bottom. When I mud in the 4x4 truck...the ruts are my friend!!, they found the bottom! :D :D

I had a little car, (Datsun), years ago that was the same way as your Geo, Kendrick. I think it was so nimble because it was light and small. Very maneuverable and would go places the regular 4x4's could not get into.

Funny little car stories. I hauled my first buck out of the woods with the "Camp" Dodge colt.
