Looking for your thoughts on Multi purpose welder, Mig/ Stick vs. Mig/Stick/ Tig?

PMs returned. For what you are doing, a MIG/Stick unit would be all you need. Most farms don't need TIG, unless you just want to kick it around.

I continue to be happy with my 255 EXT TIG welder and torch cooler. I have sold 2-3 others on this welder and so far so good.

I have a question Mark. Why does no one make a true Multi Process machine that does both AC and DC TIG as well as MIG? What I'd like is a real MIG/TIG machine but all the multiprocess machines I've seen now only do DC Tig. That leaves aluminum out unless you do a gross weld with a spool gun or get yourself a TIG only machine that does all metal TIG welding. What I want is a TIG machine with MIG on it, although sometimes you do have to do some stick too, like facing rod for example.
Right now I'm looking very hard at your PowerMTS 251Si with TIG Package. I only wish it could do Al TIG too. Oh so close.
However, I must say that it does look to be the best and most complete of the multiprocess welders available right now. Far more complete than the others. In fact I was pitching the local welding store to look into selling your brand and showed him to your website today.

The problem that you run into is that you have to have another small inverter that turns the DC back into AC. It takes up a good bit of room in the unit, and makes them much larger and heavier, and in the end less reliable and less desirable because of the bulk. It can be made for sure, but there are some unique and more expensive issues to conquer than just adding a switch or two.

Don't know on that one. We can probably work out something in that case, but have you called them direct to ask? I would talk with Jean. Duncan is out of the country on Everlast business this week I think. She can tell you exactly what is available and when (if it is not currently).

Paypal is an option, but we do prefer good old fashioned CC's. Less expensive for us that way.
