Yes, free shipping to a staffed commercial business or supporting freight terminal.

Hey Ted, I've never ordered anything that has to go to a commercial business or supporting freight terminal. How does that work? Is the freight terminal then able to bring it to your house for a charge or do you have to pick it up there?

You either ship to to the freight terminal or to an address. The freight terminal is handy for the shipper since they do not have a loading dock at most residences. A local business with loading dock or if you have forks and are home all the time may be options (with a cooperative trucker).

Well said Tom. To elaborate, some people get permission from a local business(feed store, hardware store, lumberyard or sometimes a tractor dealer) to receive their order.
There are also many freight terminals scattered throughout the country where the order can be picked up. The main carriers that we use are YRC Freight, Fed-Ex Freight and Southeastern Freight.
If we ship to a terminal, they will load the order onto your truck/trailer at their location for no additional charge. This is more convenient than home delivery for many because you can show up to the terminal at your convenience, during business hours.

If we deliver to a residence, farm, home business, church, school, jobsite, etc, the carriers charge a limited delivery fee that we must pass on.

I guess some freight terminals "insist" you pick up your order in one trip to save them trouble.

I had three attachments to pick up last fall and when I arrived the freight terminal said I must pick them up in one trip rather than come back. I managed to do it all in one trip, but was not aware of that policy beforehand. Just an FYI.

I've never heard that one either, but some terminal locations are probably more lenient than others.

You do need to pick up your terminal delivery shipments pretty quick. I got stuck out of town once and combined with a holiday 3 day weekend, my pallet sat there for about 5 days. It was fedex and they gave that crew the 3 day weekend off. They were getting fussy by the time I picked it up.

We have a RAC Transport terminal in our area. Can you use them?

We do not use them. With your zip, I can tell you the locations of the terminals that we use.
Just send me a PM or call me with the item(s) you're interested in and your zip.
