I say call everything attachments and ask their opinion on what they recommend.

I thought I was asking EA when I quoted Travis' post…

I guess I could have been more specific, as I've already decided on their Wicked Root Rake Grapple. Only question is, what size.

That said, I certainly don't mind other's input.

I was just getting at talk with them since I do not know the size or dimensions of your tractor. Not about the other members mention of a different implement company. From the little that I know I would recommend a grapple slightly wider than your tractor. Who or where you but it from is completely up to you. There are a lot of good company's out there but since you are on this exact forum title I just recommended Everything attachments. Since I have their grapple as well I would recommend their 72 inch wicked grapple it is awesome!

Sorry I missed the question, but I think Mr. Stump is fixed up.

I am looking for a recommendation on two pieces of equipment.

1. I am planning to buy a grapple for a Kubota L3560 with an 805 loader, but I can't decide between the 55" wicked root rake and the 60" wicked root rake. Does the larger capacity outweigh (pun intended) the higher weight on the larger grapple? With the limited loader capacity on the 805, would I be better off getting the lighter grapple? I have 40 acres that are completely wooded and I was thinking the narrower grapple might be better for reaching into tight spots. I will mostly use it for removing brush, picking up trees/logs and moving rocks.

2. I have the same question for pallet forks - Should I get the 42"/2200# forks, or should I get the longer 48"/3000# forks? My loader is closer to the 2200# capacity, but I also like the idea of the 48" length. I'm not sure if it is worth the increased weight to get the extra 6".

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hey man, you could really go with the 239 pound Wicked 55 or the 400 pound Wicked 60 for your Kubota L3560.

I've sold both models for tractors like yours and no issues have been reported at all.

BRmyers has the 55 on his L3560 and has shared the following pics with more in our Original Wicked Grapple thread.

If you plan to be really rough, some have chosen to go with the 60. A couple of pics..

L2501. He has very rocky soil, in the MO Ozarks and chose the brute and it doesn't seem to be hurting his ability.

Kinda the same story for the pallet forks. Unless you're gonna abuse it, our 238 pound, 2,200 pound rated set is plenty to cover your loader capacity. If you plan on being rough or just need the extra length, the 310 pound, 3,000 pound rated set is still what you could consider lightweight vs. others in the industry.

Since you'll have a grapple, I doubt you'll be pulling any stunts, or stumps, like this.

Just curious, do more people get the root grapple or the root rake grapple? Now that I have narrowed down the size, I can't decide which style to go for.

Again, I am maintaining 40 wooded acres, clearing trees and brush, but I am sure I will find many uses for either.

The lighter weight attachments will allow a little more lifting capacity and they are still built just as strong. I would go with the 55" grapple unless you plan to move to a larger tractor. If you are also buying pallet forks, I would go with the root rake grapple. I prefer the shorter tines for my cleanup. And use the pallet forks or bucket when I need to move something I can't grab with the grapple.
I have also found 42" inch fork to be perfectly fine. Especially in tight areas. Another 6" might get in they way.

Thanks, I have decided on the 42" pallet forks (2200 pound). I am leaning towards the Wicked Root Rake Grapple, but haven't decided which yet. I am still split 50/50 on the 55" vs 60" grapple.

I have the wicked root grapple but i move a lot of fire wood and logs with mine. I have used it to clear areas but it was recommended more for the purpose of firewood. Hence my picture. Which loader arms do you have with your tractor the LA555 or the LA805? The difference in the two's lifting capacity is 530 lbs. If you have the LA805 I would go with the wider little bit heavier grapple. It is more money though, I believe either one you choose will work great everything attachments stuff is build tough.
