I have a Komatsu PC75 excavator and I want to change the controls from ISO to SAE (backhoe). This is a pilot-operated machine, so this should be easily done at the valve stack. The question is how can I figure out which lines I need to swap? This machine has 9 spool sections so the valve stack is almost 2' high. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can get an accurate hydraulic schematic it should identify which valve section controls each function.

If no schematic then you are going to have to make your own by following hoses from joystick to valve sections and hoses from valve sections to function they operate.

Then hope the pilot hoses are long enough to allow you to move them.

I’m m surprised it doesn’t have a change over valve.

I agree. Surely it has to have a pattern change valve. Specially a machine this size.

Best I can tell, it does not. I was planning to add one.
