I got a tv in front of my treadmill, I run/walk briskly 5-6 miles while watching netflix or joe rogan podcasts on youtube. I'll do that a couple times per week. On alternate days, again a few times per week, I do pullups and 20 lbs dumbell exercises (shoulder press, arm curls, squats). Nearly every morning I do my own version of planks...I don't stand in place maintaining form, but instead move around slightly which puts load on all the core muscles. I incorporate pushups into that routine.
I don't do any of this stuff to the point that I'm in pain, I'm not looking to bulk up, and I ain't training for any event other than life itself. I do exercises that I could do up into old age. But I will say that I'm 47 now, and I'm in fairly good shape.
Also, we eat pretty healthy, so that's big plus.
