Any ideas on how to prevent exhaust soot from blowing onto the grillguard of my bx2200?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif It would have been nice if kubota would have designed this (location of exhaust) a little bit better. Any ideas??? Has anyone heard of an aftermarket 'exhaust stack" that would fit the bx2200?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've seen a post where someone just added a turn down(elbow) extension piece that directs the flow away from that area. I'd do the same if I was you.

Rosey,

The exhaust deflector for the BX22 is P/N K2591-83120. However it is $44.20 @ www.tractorsmart.com

To much for me but should give you some ideas.

Good luck,
Michael

I am experiencing the same problem on my bx2200. I have the bx22 grill guard and it is always loading up with the "soot". Luckily it has been easy to clean off of the brushed aluminum so I have not looked to modify the exhaust yet. Yet being the operative word. Good Luck

I have the same problem on my B7500. It gets all over the grill guard and the loader frame. Even though I waxed the hell out of it the soot is hard to get off. I have been thinking about an extension too. Has anyone found a solution for the B7500 that is available?

My approach has been more reactive than proactive. Castrol SuperClean, the good purple cleaner, melts the soot deposits right off...............chim

I have never give it much thought. So it's dirty... oh well.
Hmmm...
This looks like an elligant enough solution, but I'm thinking keep the $$.
Any mods to exhaust always effect engine performance. Albeit this one doesn't look like much of a mod.

For $45, think I\'ll visit my local muffler shop

with a sketch and size and see what they can whip up while they are waiting for real work.........

My guess is slip the guy a $20 and we'd both be THRILLED!

Later,
ron (aka, cheap!)
