Rick, I'm sure you checked the #25 meter by now, but you didn't say what you found.

Bud,
Believe it or not, I don't have a single glass
tube in the place. A shipment is due tomorrow
u.p.s. Can't check until then. However I have had
two reliable customers (both professionals) that
believe there might be a problem. Will check soon.
Anytime I order new tube styles it takes a few weeks
to get quantities built up. Thanks Bud for your comments.
Sincerely, Rick

glenmac,
Not wanting to drill my sheetmetal I just used two plastic tie wraps to secure it to the cross member from the loader. This way it's right in front of my face and can be moved easily if needed. I don't remove my loader so this is not a problem. The only downside is it mounts at a slight angle, ie not exactly plumb. From some other posts I gather that this will throw off the reading somewhat but in the "safer" direction. (The slope will actually be a little less than indicated, not a bad cushion to have). I plan on shimming it plumb eventually and mounting with velcro but haven't gotten that far yet.

I just undid the cover on the preapplied double sided sticky tape, and put it on my dash where it didn't cover over anything important. As gerard said, this means my meter is not plumb, but I tested it at different angles temporarily mounted to a 2 by 4, and being a few degrees off plumb didn't affect accuracy at all, or at least not enough that I could detect it by looking.

Bud, and all the guys,
Mold maker argued it was not possible he made a mistake
off and on for two hours today. However he did call back
and apologized and said he found the problem and it was
his mis-calculations. A new mold SHOULD be done by next
monday. FREE !!!!!!!!!! Nothing I can do about glass tubes
I ordered. They are here. A new glass tube will have to be
made for new body. Lifes a b%*#h and then you start your
own company. I will replace ANY indicator sent back,
reimburse for postage, and refund 50% of original cost.
By the way, we re-checked all other models and all are
within range of + - 1 degree. Thanks guys for your input.
Keeps me ON THE LEVEL so to speak. Rick.

Rick - I am so upset, so perturbed, so distraught at the way you do business that I have only one recourse ...recommend your product to anybody who will listen./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Sure is nice to see someone in business who knows how to keep the customer satisfied. BTW, no complaints about my 23c - works like a charm.

Hey Mark, the beeper model sounds cool!

Is there a voice model as well? Something like the "pull up" voice on airplanes when they are about to hit a hill?

Something like "lean to the left" or "jump off now"?

And Rick I enjoyed your comments on the tiltmeter. The best laid plans...

My dad was a quality control inspector at Boeing for many years, and I remember the stories he used to tell me!

Just keep on pluggin' away.

I also want a device that somehow measures the stress on the loader bucket so I can tell how much weight is in it!

(I know I know, go dump the laod on a scale...! That's no fun)

My own tiltmeter? When I notice I am looking forward but I am looking outside the FOPS I know I'm too far over!

Oh, and for Christmas I also want my loader modified so it angles with one side up like a dozer blade!

Great idea but doesn't seem workable.

What would a chair look like if our knees bent the other way?

Rick, Since I messed up all 4 of your brackets by straightening them out, putting two 90 degree bends in them, cutting them off and drilling holes in them. Also I drilled 2 holes in the front and the side of the roof on
4 1/2" centers. Nothing else will probably match those holes, and I don't want to put 4 more holes in the roof, so if it's ok I'll wait till you get the next batch of 25 degree meters made. You can let me know when they are ready.
