i'm back,thanks for the info. sounds like latin for buyer beware .E.W. is by AgGuard and states what is covered & what is not covered.a $200 deductible,$1000 limit of liability.with 3 diff.levels ,powertrain. powertrain-hydraulic.& fullmachine.prices start at $250 up to $1000 based on level & years 3 to 5.thier is 2 pages of fine print .basicly i never buy E.W's even on autos.but i only worked on old machinnes.this hydro is new to me. this is my 1st ever NEW tractor. thanks.

Based on it being a named peril contract, a relatively high deductible, and a very low limit of liability, I'd say no big time to that offer.

Dargo, thanks for all the info. I pulled out my warranty documents and mine is the exclusionary warranty type with no deductible as long as repairs are made within my dealers network. I have a $50 deductible if repairs are made outside the network (like a HMO). Like I said, I don't usually buy extended service contracts but it just worked out well for me on this one.

well i sitting on the fence about this for 5 wks thinking it over,reading & rereading the fine pint there is alot wording so they can have it seem to be my fault for any beakdown.which i'll have to submit to arbitration.that will slow down any major repair.the E.W.does not cover the FEL or BH . manufac. warranty is 2 yr full machine,5 yr engine,1yr fel-bh. i think that should cover me.i'll save the money for any repairs years from now. thaks again /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

About the only thing I buy an extended warranty on is a notebook computer. I KNOW I'm going to drop it, spill something on it, or just generally beat it to death.

The warranty on my Dell covers that stuff. And that's a good thing, too - the first month I had it, I cracked the screen... Best $350 I ever spent! And I've got a few YEARS left to go...

Actually dells extended warranty does not cover damage caused buy the user, dell does sell accident insurance, which is probably what you bought... but it is a different policy than the E.W.
