Great picts of the CK25. It appears from the pictures to be the same tractor as the CK30 but with a smaller engine. I continue to be very impressed with this tractor. It does everything I ask of it without ever getting near the point where it's over worked. I am most impressed with the LK130 FEL. I think that thing could lift a truck if I asked it to.

It does indeed have a spring adjustment. However, it does not seem to make a lot of difference which way you turn the adjustment wheel, nothing changes. There is very little spring to the seat. On the one I have, turning adjustment wheel will stretch the springs out but that does not change the ride at all. It is possible it may not be assembled correctly.

That is to me a very small inconvenience it a very great tractor.

I had a feeling that was the case as I only turned the adjustment enough to see that a spring was being moved, but didn't really check out the difference or lack thereof that it made. It is a nice seat though and I like being able to adjust the back. It also has good movement forward and back. Much nicer than the seat on my CK20.
I'm happy to hear that it's all and more that you thought it would be. I can't wait to go see the CK30, which is, as you say, the same tractor with more HP. I just want to feel the difference! John

I added a low profile suspension seat base to my CK20 last year, unfortunately with much the same results...lots of turning on the adjustment knob, not much suspension...i don't think there's enough room under there to get much travel.

My seat doesn't seem to do any adjusting when you turn the knob either.

The knob is on a threaded rod about 4" long. I was able to adjust the seat from a soft bounce up and down to a very firm bounce by placing more tension on the springs. I'm going from memory here, but I'm thinking you would turn the knob to the left, like you were unscrewing it, to put more pressure on the springs. The knob became harder to turn as more pressure was placed on the springs. I found it was easier to adjust not sitting in the seat.

Ok , I went out to a CK25 and I cranked and kranked and after 50 twists of the wrist counter clockwise I got weight control.

They come backed most the way down.

Now my next test.

I am going to hang a 5 foot cutter on one. I hope she turns it good cause boy they are too big to put a 4 ft on.

I really have no doubt that it will handle the 5' as my CK20 has NO problem with the 4' and would probably also handle the 5'. I've only had a couple of occasions where the tractor got lugged down a little with the 4' in extrememly tough, tall mixed weeds. Let us know how it does. John

OK Don your right. I was not turning the knob far enough. But after about 50 turns I could see that the little roller on the bottom was get more upright. I must be a light wieght though (180lbs) because bounce I don't get. I try but no bounce.

I think the springiness is marginal, at best, but it's a pretty nice seat and I found it to be pretty comfortable. John

AL, I'm a heavier weight, by about 50 lbs. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, and I don't think I had the seat cranked to the maximum firmess and it had very little (firm) movement. There was plenty of adjustment for a soft ride to a firm ride. IMO Kioti made a great choice in the seating department /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif.
