Most extinguishers you buy at the big box store you can not refill. Only the professional grade ones are serviceable.

Most welding supply places can recharge them, or send them out. Fire safety supply in the yellow pages should give you some local sources.

Well done Mate! It's the first thing I bought & installed on my rig when it was delivered.

I don't know when I'll ever use it, but that's the point. It'll always be there if I do. I just need to remember every now & then to check the pressure gauge to make sure it's good to go.

I've also got one in my Ute and 2 in the house... They're just 'there' in case.

Good precautionary measure. I hope you never have to use. One of the biggest messes I have ever had to clean up was after using a fire extinguisher on a dash fire. Oh how I miss the Halomethane extinguishers.
