Your follow-up to my post made me locate the owners manual & sales brochure for the tractor. I would have bet the farm that Kubota called the ag type tires "bar-turf", however the print only states "bar".
I guess this is how those "urban legends" are born.
No matter what you call them, the bar type is the superior tire , when dragging ground engaging stuff(implements) in loose material.
