We have a 2001 EZ-GO Workhorse 1200 and my wife just loves it. Lets her get around the place without the limits imposed by arthritis and the results of a bad auto accident about 15 years ago. Ours has a cage/cab on it as it came used from a golf driving range and had been used to pick up balls off the range. In spite of all the abuse it took (teen age boys) it still runs good. Engine uses oil but oil is cheap. The tank is large enough that I only fill it about every other month.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one this weekend. No one seems to have anything bad to say about these, so thanks for all the input.

Whatever you do don't go with EZ-Go's Diesel engines. We had someone buy 8 of them instead of the RTV and they already blew 3 motors within 2 months.

I can't find any mention of a diesel being offered by EZ-Go. Who is the manufacturer?

Club Car makes a diesel powered vehicle also re-badged as the Bobcat 2200. It uses a Kubota 3 cylinder 20 hp motor (D722). If it is isn't the same exact motor as in the RTV, it is very, very similar.

I'm glad I stumbled onto this thread! I've currently got a bid pending on da Bay for a 2002 EZ-GO workhorse 800, and I feel better about aquiring it having read through this. I'm buying it for my Dad as a combination Birthday/Fathers Day/Christmas present, so nobody else bid on it please! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif He's got bursitis and has been having a rough time getting around lately. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Mom isn't doing much better what with radiation and chemotherapy, so I think(hope?) they'll both find it useful. He drives his truck from the house to the barn, which I think is quite stupid. My brother-in-law just bough a brand-new Mule and I know Dad is pretty envious of it and would LOVE to get his hands on one too, but he doesn't have that kinda $$$ to spend and neither do I. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
