I forgot to mention that we welded the EZ hitch on an Kubota L4330 also and the owner likes it very much.

Is that a line from Abbott and Costello????

Just kidding, let me know if you have any questions about our hitches.

Jerome

Thanks Jerome. This hit me as a great idea when I saw it because you can use the original swivel mounts as well as the quick hitch feature. I do not see a reason why I would not want to do this is why I was asking. I have a similar quick hitch to Pat's, but not that particular brand. I am probably the only one at TBN that removed that system because I just did not like it. (Because the hardware got bent, came loose, threads stripped out, etc) However taking the "J" pieces and welding them looks like the best of both worlds.

I am going to see if I can adapt the quick hitch attachments I have this weekend. If they will not work I will be ordering a set of yours ASAP. Thanks again. Alex

Would seem you'd have the best of the 'worlds' with the pats welded on top.You wouldn't have to fuss with pin. That is if they will sit well enough on the arm to be welded onto it
Please keep us up to date..
I now understand what you ment LOL

I actually sell weld on units for customers that want to cut off the balls and weld on the hitches. My brother bought an older tractor that the balls had worn out and we did this. Of course, you could always just weld the hitches on the top of your lift arms and use them that way. You would need to check the pin clearance to the deck on your equipment.

What is the dif between cat-1 & 2?

RD
Cat I lower draw pins are 7/8" diameter. Cat II pins are 1 1/8". So the ez-hitch hooks are sized accordingly.

well, I thought it was just me. thought alot about the price for just the J hooks, but I am sure they come with the pins also.
So overall I think the price is reasonable. Its close enough for me to re-consider the amount of work to fabricate my own.
I like the idea that they will be on top of the arms, and still leave the option open to use the balls.
Also to mention that the balls would be left avaliable for some sort of spacer bar to hold the arms at the spread distance.

digicamnut,\
If you still viewing this post I see the pics and it appears you use large washers with some nuts welded to them for the pin to go through. I wonder if you could the sizes you used. I like that .
