EZ Hitch Weld On

These quick hitches are such good ideas, that I wonder why you can't buy a tractor with the quick hitch built into the lift arms as OEM? You would think someone would come up with a lift arm version with the EZ or Pats design fabricated right onto the end of the arm. Buying the whole lift arm aftermarket with quick hitch J-hooks would be too expensive, but why not as original equipment

Thats a good point, It appears that there have been several different design over the years Not sure why, I guess they wouldn"t own the patent to them ?
Or like anything else, its been that way for years why change things now.

Bed,

I am pretty sure he used a 7/8 washer and then welded a 1/2 nut to it. The lynch pin goes thru the nut and the draw pin. The washer protects the lynch pin against bending and also keeps it out of the way during hook up.

If you still viewing this post I see the pics and it appears you use large washers with some nuts welded to them for the pin to go through. I wonder if you could the sizes you used. I like that .

I have considered it and could make a set for someone if they wanted them that way, but as you said $$$$$$$.

I am sure you have seen the JD commercial with the IMATCH system on it. They make it look like it is part of the tractor and not an accessory. I do like the PTO hook up they show. My PTO'S are always a pain in the butt.

Is there a problem with the alignment of the pins causing binding due to class 1 and 2 width differences.
Renovator

That is an issue that I had not considered. However, I think it would only come into play if you put a Cat.2 set on a Cat.1 tractor; or vice versa and were then using both 1 & 2 implements.

If this is a situation you expect to encounter we can always make the opening a little larger to account for the alignment. I would just need to know before I ship them.

CHDinCT,

I have finally got around to making my own set that replaces the slide outs on my new JD 4720. I made a set of PEC attached to the slide outs and so far they work great. I will keep trying them out and let you guys know how they hold up.
