I don’t see any levers on my machine that looks like the parts breakdown illustration of the lever. I can’t tell exactly where the lever would be located with the parts breakdown schematic drawing, but I doubt I have the cruise option.

I don’t have it’ either. Mine was pretty loaded up, but you have to keep your foot on the pedal if you want to move.

I found a Youtube video of a machine with then cruise control option. The lever would be on the same panel as all the other levers. And yes, no cruise control on my machine. The pertinent section starts at around 3:30.

I have a few unused slots in my side console. One I believe is for an optional set of hydraulic remotes. The other might be for a cruise control.

Interesting video, thank you Doug!

I glanced at the F3060 operator's manual and did not see any mention of cruise control, but it looks like it was available as shown in the video and mentioned in the spare parts listing.

Looks like your mower's speed control linkage could've had that, but was never installed by customer choice?

Since it's a different linkage, it may only have one zerk fitting and it should be below the fender, where the pedal bushings & shaft are.

Cheers

Arto,

I was beginning to think the same thing, although I cannot see any other linkage that might be related to the cruise control system. I am aware of where the pedal zerk is, so I have that one covered. Also, I am glad to hear I am not crazy.

I ordered speed related ball bearing and bushings will replace for a new reference point.

In the mean time I did grease/oil all related items seems a bit smoother. I did discover the cruise control handle interferes with the the 2 spd hydro handle. CC was pushing fast speed toward neutral.

In addition I'm running 24.12.12 which seems to rub the hydro handle. Not sure I would be using cc too many challenging cut areas. Those issues were resolved.

Now that the cruise control linkage and control is brought up, I notice that there is a blank slot with a rabbit at one end of it and a turtle at the other end on the control panel. Now I know what its purpose is.

I also have two slots for hydraulic control, of which I have one set of remotes and their associated lever. It sure would be cool to have the quick connect linkage and a blade for the mower.

Does anyone have the flail mower?

Does anyone have the flail mower?

I came close to ordering Peruzzo flail, but they only had a 5 foot model available for F at the time.

They now have a 6 foot one.

Will be interesting to hear if anyone here has one?

Just finished speed change parts install fairly simple job. I did find the bushing was missing and bearing spun freely but replaced anyway. Didn't get a chance to mess with adj the linkage, other obligations.

I had noticed prior to this repair the pedal needed to be nudged fwd to engage the brake. And, I manually used the pedal to slow/transition movement to stop.

Where do you start adj first, make sure the neutral is correct (spring adj) then to the linkage? Thanks

I would adjust the neutral first.

I didn't document the slit positions of the holder shaft (#7) of the neutral arm. It appears to be at 6/12 now are the slits intended for adj to neutral? I did set the pedal then tighten the bolt otherwise having a difficult time find neutral. I still get a little reverse no pedal and slight grind, fwd. Am I missing a step? Thanks

Loosen the bolt 8. for item 7. (the round piece with wide screwdriver slots) and rotate it when the engine is idling, until the mower no longer creeps either forward or reverse when the speed control pedal is in the neutral position.

IE. The small ball bearing is in the dent of the neutral arm & neutral spring has just adequate tension to hold it in the dent.

It would be great to have cruise control. I hate trying to keep the pedal steady.

Interesting, I have never noticed any issues with that.

F3060 has a damper (Item 11) in the linkage, not sure if all F's have something similar?

I was able to get the speed adj set and the machine works as designed. Gotta say I am impressed with some of the hill/slope capabilities cutting I do which is why I wanted to try a front mower. I no longer need the 3 point finish deck for those hill/slope cutting and a bonus less weed whacking.

Now, I have noticed some oil drops which have gone from a drop or 2 to several. There aren't any obvious simple sources of that oil, any thoughts?

Thanks
