Had opportunity to include this in a plating project.

Well if we're gonna zinc plate this thing it can't just look like Harbor Freight. Decided to TIG the gap in on that cheesy HF doubler wrap.

That is really nice.
There is actually a good market for that as a front rod holder for surf fishermen.

What I have in mind is:
- a receiver winch
- for "backing trailers"
- attracting crows (& Steve)
- front-mount lumber/pipe rack support.

Perfect for this. but if you can build that hitch you can build the rod rack too.

Thanks guys. There's so much space ahead of the radiator it's like a front trunk. So I mounted a 12v compressor in there. It's ARB brand, made for operating an air locker but it seems pretty stout. Wish I had a rollbar or some tank volume to pressurize. I think I'll make some kind of carrier for the hose and air chucks etc.
