Do you just drive your pleasure truck around in Boston or do you do much interstate?I have a 2015 F350 4x4 super crew with the 6.2 , I'm not hard on the throttle and it's primarily a pleasure truck but I get 13.5 based on the dash board computer. I have hand calculated it several times and the dash is accurate. I'm at 10,000 miles now and 13.5 has been consistent.
I've been to Boston a lot. It was always stop stop stop go stop stop stop go.
I found similar w/ my 7.3's open road unloaded 15, dropped down to 13 pulling a loaded 12K trailer with a full loaded bed.2016 f250 6.2 with the rare 4.30 gears and a/t tires. Driving VERY carefully I get 11.8mpg rural and 12.8mpg highway. :confused2:
However, hauling 11,000lbs only drops the truck about 1.5mpg.
Comparison, twice we rented Ford 350 V10's for the trip, got 6 to 8 mpg w/ load.
