F250 6.2L MPG??

I have a 2015 F350 4x4 super crew with the 6.2 , I'm not hard on the throttle and it's primarily a pleasure truck but I get 13.5 based on the dash board computer. I have hand calculated it several times and the dash is accurate. I'm at 10,000 miles now and 13.5 has been consistent.
Do you just drive your pleasure truck around in Boston or do you do much interstate?

I've been to Boston a lot. It was always stop stop stop go stop stop stop go.
2016 f250 6.2 with the rare 4.30 gears and a/t tires. Driving VERY carefully I get 11.8mpg rural and 12.8mpg highway. :confused2:

However, hauling 11,000lbs only drops the truck about 1.5mpg.
I found similar w/ my 7.3's open road unloaded 15, dropped down to 13 pulling a loaded 12K trailer with a full loaded bed.

Comparison, twice we rented Ford 350 V10's for the trip, got 6 to 8 mpg w/ load.

2014 F250 Super Cab 4x4. Bought new in April 2014. Not a lot of highway driving for the most part, it does from 11+ to 13+ mpg locally.
On a trip from the northern part of New York state to Florida pulling a 7x18 enclosed with 4 Harleys, it did 8 - 8.5.

I try not to drive it around Boston very often. We live a bit south of the city where the traffic is usually less conjested. My mileage is based on a little bit of everything as far as highway/city conditions. My everyday city unit is a Sprinter van that gets 25-26 mpg no matter where I drive or how fast. Also have a V10 F450 that is a pig. 7-7.5 mpg and 3 when plowing snow. Fortunately that rig only moves about 6,000 miles a year.

My 2011 6.2L CC with 3.73 rear has a 30k overall average of 12.0 (occasional RV towing, mostly rural driving). Rough numbers are 13 rural roads, 15-16 highway.

I'm getting just under 11 with mine but it's a 4x4 scab with a utility body and pipe rack. I was hoping to get 12-13. Surprisingly towing anything in the 3-5K range doesn't drop the mileage much if at all.

I've had two diesels, '95 Dodge and an '04 Duramax, both did around 20mpg rural driving and about 23 on trips (empty). Pulling a 3-horse gooseneck it dropped to about 12mpg. I'm surprised that the new diesels are not doing better, what gives?

I'm pretty sure they are talking about a Ford gas motor in this thread.

My boss had one kept about 6 months got about 13 mpg unloaded I liked it it was smooth and quite, he really liked it until he hooked a trailer up got bout 5 mpg and struggled to pull the load his previous 99 with the 7.3 did. He now has a 16 with the 6.7 diesel he has no complaints so far.
