F915 Diff to Trans hose

I've got the proper hose from Deere. The hose collapses when installed. What is wrong?

That's not the correct hose, one with that sharp of a bent needs to be molded in. Take it back and get the correct hose or install an elbow about where it's kinked.

Typically there is a spring in suction hoses so they don't collapse. Check the old hose.
The suction hose on my 318 was molded and also had a spring inside. Two separate part numbers.

Thanks all... There was a spring in the hose. Unfortunately, I threw it away with the old hose.

Gosh, I just don't know what to say about that.

Extra parts, must be what you thought.

Can you dig thru the garbage can and find it?

Thanks for the thought... But it was several weeks of parts spread across the garage floor. One of the axels broke. Had to take the differential off the transmission. The hose was the oil return to the transmission. During this time I tried to keep the mess to a minimum, getting rid of old parts. I didn't notice the spring during disassembly nor in the parts breakdown. It was the Deere parts diagram that showed the spring with p/n. Major Deere dealer (35+ locations) said they have only sold 3 springs in their entire history. I feel, at least, I'm not the only one to throw it away.
