Loader Factory SSQA For MT-125 Coming?

No, unfortunately. I purchased mine from RCO tractor in Spicewood Tx. 2 of my neighbors have MT125s, one got his from RCO in Tx. The other got his from Greenes tractor in Sneedville Tn.

Last month I took delivery of MT-122 with factory SSQA bracket included. The option cost $350 plus tax. I received forks and additional bucket from Titan over the weekend, and they don't fit. The LS SSQA bracket is 14 inches tall, and the spec is 16 inches. So it picks up the forks no problem on the loader, but lowering the levers to lock it in is the problem. The pins don't go down far enough to engage. So trying to lift a pallet, the weight just pops the forks off the bracket. I have reached out to LS via my dealer to find out what can be done to rectify this.

JBSLim? Did you get the 14"/16" sorted out?
JoeTool? Did you build one? Please share specs/photos if you did, I have a welder neighbor that would build for me.

I went ahead and ordered the LS QA assembly from my dealer around the first of August, as of last week still on backorder from Korea with no estimated deliver date (month or year:))

I also spoke with a well known manufacturer, shared drawings/photos/measurements with him and he commented that "An off the shelf skid steer would not be able to pick up this bucket, however your loader with this device (LS QA Adaptor) appears to be able to pick up your pin on bucket and a skid steer attachment." He felt it was to specialized for him to build.

Of course this does not take in to account the availability of 14" high SSQA implements. My stock bucket is the hybrid type posted in previous photos by someone else. Is our 14" hybrid bucket one of the only attachments that would work with the 14" QA from LS, if so I may cancel my order or worse$ order a 16" QA bucket and then scrap the 14".

I'm looking for a small grapple and a set of forks.

Thoughts, comments appreciated.

Mark-
Ironically, I just started this weekend building it. It's actually going really quick and I'm super happy with how it's turning out so far. I will send some pictures later today or tomorrow. I'm basically cutting off the brackets from the bucket. Then reusing them; as part of reusing them it worked out perfect that the pieces I cut out to clear the brackets get reused for braces. Basically all you will need is some SSQA brackets, a piece of 2 in. square stock about 34" , and a few miscellaneous pieces of steel for reinforcements. I'm doing the whole thing with a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder, tacking it together with my mig welder, then picking up a use stick welder and I'm going to practice my skills.

Hi Mark,

With help from others here, we figured out that there is a different standard, mostly referred to as "Mini Skid Steer" although I can't confirm a formal standard name. It turns out that the factory option bracket offered by LS for the MT122/125 is indeed this smaller standard, but their system just called it SSQA. The bucket is the same if you order the tractor with or without the LS bracket. Clever design is pin on and "Mini SSQA" compatible. Also, if you shop for attachments, I use Titan quite a bit, then you will see some attachments for this standard, just very few. For the LS MT122/125 this is a good design as it reduces overall weight of everything so you get more capability to move material. The problem is that it is not actual SSQA, so buying used implements or renting/sharing with other owners won't work. For me this latter situation was a deal breaker. My neighbor and I share. Kudo's to LS and my dealer who came through for me and gave me a 100% refund on the LS MT122 tractor and I stepped up to the LS MT225S which is factory standard with SSQA.

Joe Tool, makes sense, good luck with the build. I was hoping to find SSQA brackets that were 7" wide at the top 5" wide at the bottom so I wouldn't have to cut the hybrid bucket at all. The standard SSQA adaptors looks to be 17" tall, I just measured from the inside of the lift triangle on the hybrid bucket to the protector plate below the pin hole at 16 1/2", the standard bracket may not fully engage unless the pin engagement length is adjustable or you cut a hole in the protector plate.

Really curious to see how yours works out. I did see a video online with an old Ford, same process you are undertaking.

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks JBSlim, this is new to me so much appreciated, too late for me to swap back with my dealer as you were fortunate to do. Looking at attachments its rare to find dimensions published. Maybe I can work some sort of bucket swap. Hopeful that JoeTool's build works for standard and mini SSQA.

It was all new to me too, and the dealer was also not aware of the smaller Quick Attack standard, and agreed that LS should make it clear that their isn't SSQA. Like you, one option I had was to get a new bracket and return the LS one, which they were willing to do, and then also swap the bucket for one from the XJ2025. This would be OK, except it was going to cost me money, and leave me with a loader that could handle less. So I decided not to do that and approached them about the tractor swap. You can buy a 3rd party adapter off the shelf from Worksaver: Attachments Using Quick Attach System check about halfway dwon the page. Not cheap though.

When I bought my LS125, the dealer sold me an SSQA adapter ... mind you, this was before this LS Adapter ever existed. I use it for standard SSQA attachments all the time, but was hoping that the new adapter would be able to be used for the stock bucket and all other attachments. Has anyone actually confirmed that the LS adapter is a mini skid steer sized plate?? Because, if it is, it would be great to know and would open the door for a lot of attachments. Does someone have the complete dimensions of the adapter? Did I perhaps miss that post? I am attaching a couple posts of my adapter I was sold by my dealer.

Yes, I can confirm. I bought an LS MT122, with Factory SSQA bracket. It is Mini SSQA. As you point out, you can get 3rd party SSQA, like the one you picture, but now your bucket won't fit. Your dealer might swap the bucket for a XJ2025 bucket. My dealer offered to do that. I chose not to go down this path due to the weight of the bracket and the XJ bucket.
