Factory work lights

Dex I looked at your mounting and may have an answer to your low amperage draw. Just for a test run a jumper from one of your mounting bolts to the battery ground. If the draw increases you will need to ground the mount bar.

Thats a good suggestion but the lights have a ground wire run to each light from a common ground tap. All of my installed wiring is copper stranded 12 AWG stranded(what I already had) to each light power being picked up at the factory work light wire. I really am satisfied with the light output and how wide the flood beam spreads out. With the front and rear lights on at night I can see virtually 360 degrees around me with just small area that is less light where the roll bar blocks the light but the light. As far as voltage drop accounting for the lower amp draw I suppose it could be voltage drop across the work light circuit with the smaller (looks like 16AWG) wire. But even 16AWG is good for 10 amps for a 20 foot run. I was glad to see the lower amp draw on the BX1500 as it has a lower output generator/dynamo that I think only puts out 15A.

Well it looks like we have "engineered" the problem out of your "non-problem". Like my Granddaddy used to say " don't fix the fence if the chickens ain't gettin' out". :D:)
