I'm looking at a '97 Blair gooseneck trailer, 20' + 4' beaver tail, rated at 14,400 lbs. in fair to good condition. Any idea what a decent price is? Only one jack in the center front (most trailers I've looked at have 2). Will be using it to haul L5030 HSTC as well as cribbing and steel.

I think you can figure out a fair price by looking at a similar new trailer and deducting 20-30% for it being used. Trailers in good condition don't cost a lot less than new. That's why I will buy new. I suspect that trailer is worth at least $1500 and maybe $2000. But check out the new ones. John

I agree with John. Used trailers don't depreciate much. If the tires and brakes are in good shape you could be looking at $2500.
A 10,000 LBs. with decent tires goes for around $2000 used around here.

I think you're more on the mark at $2500 Andy, I tend to be a little conservative because I just can't believe how prices are going up on everything. 20' trailers are NOT cheap. John

I believe the $1000 price is too low. If in good shape, $2000-2500 would be in line with a good price. I assume with a 4' beaver tail, this is a deck over wheels type trailer? Are ramps included? Are the tires E rated or G rated? For a 14,000 lb trailer it really needs G rated tires (3500 lbs per tire rating) for the trailer but many only have E rated tires. G rated tires cost considerably more. Is it a 12" or 8" gooseneck frame? Is it a fixed or flip-up beaver tail? Spare tire? Chain tray? Tie downs? All these options keep adding to the price.
I bought my used, one year old 32' dual tandem axle, 25,000 lb GVWR, gooseneck with fold down beaver tail and ramps for $5000.

I think 1k is a bit low as well. A used 16' trailer car hauler style will fetchg that much here.. unless it is completely used up and beat. ( with new ones going from 1200 to 1800 ).
