Summer lasted through mid-October, and the 2 1/2 weeks of fall weather was nice. Then winter showed up this week, with another 10-12” forecast for today, and more tonight.

We are still in Summer it seems. 75 today and almost 80 yesterday.
No rain since mid-July.
Totally bizarre.

Wow, and you are in the northeast. The southern Rockies are getting plenty of moisture this season.

Same here in northern Nevada. Desert here doesn't get much precipitation but for the second year in a row we are running 50% above normal. It was 12 degrees here this morning. Here's a pic I grabbed off the fire camera on Deer Mountain in northeast Nevada:

I’m undecided. Part of me can’t wait til our area looks as white as your picture. And the other part is still trying to get outdoor stuff done. I am though hoping for a long cold winter……..we’ll see.

It blows my mind that you down there gets snow before me up here... we had 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inch) of snow in the forecast and we got zero, east of use and they got some for us nothing yet.

Blizzard conditions on I-80 in Wyoming; I-70 east of Denver is closed due to the blowing snow.

I just got the garden harvested two weeks ago and shredded. And all the summer outdoor rugs and patio things put away. Good timing this year. I still haven’t removed the cutter and installed the blade on the tractor, but we’re basking in the warm weather for the next two weeks in TX and LA on vacation. Hopefully it will be melted or at least compacted when we return later this month so I can do those things.
