I wish it was...I removed the top on the first day I got it and sold it immediately.....after doing all of the work to it.....I don't have the heart to off road her or have her see rain or snow....so she is a daily driver only when there is no rain in the forecast.

It was my first restoration and although I cursed a lot...loved every minute of it....

There is nothing like a jeep - had my eye on a '46 2A in high school and that was almost 30 years ago. I love seeing my kids in the back with their hair flying around and looking straight up into the sky - priceless.

Now looking for a '86 CJ7 for my wife...who knows more about jeeps than I do...

SWEEEET! My first vehicle was a 72 Commando. Had a 304 and the TH400 and no rust. That was back in 80. Wish I still had that one too. JEEPS ARE FUN,

Man that Brit reviewer in the first article sure wasn't impressed. It sounds like those Greek-assembled kits that are sold in Britain are the worst and most obsolete version of Mahindra Jeeps.

That Mahindra site at least speaks of modern versions. It sounds like they found a smog-compliant engine and recently got their 'CJ5' model back in production.


The model I saw in India that I liked was a CJ5-based variant that amounted to a modern Willys Wagon. We saw a lot of them.
