I bought the AgKing out of Texas, it is still a Jinma. So is the Farm Pro, Nortrac, and many others that have been rebadged. JohnS has built two crate tractors and if you visit his website (Johnstractor.com) you can get a great deal of information about the Jinma tractor. I have about 110 hours on my 284 LE, the starter was replaced under warranty when the tractor was new, I added an in line lower radiator heater to make cold weather starting easier, but otherwise it has been a great tractor. I bought the Koyker FEL, box blade, grader blade, and a finish mower with mine. I think a Jinma would make you a good machine if you can come up with a way to obtain one.

Hi Greg,

Took your advice and posted there as well. Had been checking with that site periodically but there didn't seem to be much activity going on and that is why I posted here.

Re auction : Had heard about it but looking for new, assembled with some kind of warranty if it is even just for parts.

Thanks again

Hi Scottie,

No Farm Pro dealer in Ontario. Matter of fact, according to the Farm Pro web site there is only one dealer in Canada and that is in Prince Edward Island which is farther away from me than most places in the states. Maybe 1000+ miles.
Only Jinmas dealer around you look at $6k for a crate 200 series or there is another guy who is selling that start at around $10k. American prices seem a heck of a lot better especially since the tractor is put together, tested and you get a warranty. Jinmas on the west coast of Canada but again is about 1500 miles away from me and unless I am mistaken they are a little pricey.
So, as I say, options in Canada are somewhat limited. No Farm Pros and extremely limited choices otherwise.

Thanks for the thought though.

<font color="blue"> Must admit that I would like a 4x4 tractor with PS. Price at
$4850 out the door is really good and would like to know how you managed that.

Hey Tom,

Tom, I did a whole lot of Stomping around, until the bushes shook enough, and I was able to find a dealer that was willing to sale me a tractor, set up the way that I wanted it to be and at a price that was within my little bitty budget. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Dealer that I bought from is a direct importer and the buyer can order his tractor set up exactly how he wants it to be from the getgo. It takes about 2 to 3 months to order a tractor and get it to your house.

I would check with EmeryBuilt and East Winds in New York. and I think that EmeryBuilt is over in that general location as well, but they do have a web site, If I remember correctly.

Try very hard to get PS, 4wd, 3 or 4 cylinder, Spring Suspension Seat(Don't get the Brick Bat Seat), Canopy(helps prevent Skin Cancer), rear wheel weights/Front weights. What I mean is, you are saving a ton of money's on your Chinese Tractor, so why not get all of the Bells and Whistles that the Chinese have to offer on your tractor from the Get Go.

If you want my Dealers # and name, just ask. He is down in Pensacola, Florida and ships Tractors all over the US and Canada, Either in a Crate or allready Assembled. Remember you can get a 254, that is a 24/25 hp, for about 6000 and you should be able to get a 224 for about 5000 dollars, and I am talking out the door.

At one time, East Winds, was selling 354 Kama's for 6000.

At this point, I personally would lean for either a Jinma or a Kama. Be extra careful, in determining, whether Creeper Gear Box or a Shuttle Shift is better suited for your needs. The creeper gears, give the tractor more gears for lower speeds. You'll have to ask others exactly what the advantage the shuttle shift has. As I understand, the shuttle is best for doing a lot of front end loader work. Both have an advantage over the other, and you have to determine, which is better suited for the majority of your tractor job projects.

If you decide to get a Chinese tractor, please follow Greg's advice on Flushing and checking out your oil reservoir's prior to operation of your tractor. Bearings will not last very long without proper lubrication and it is imperative that oil passages are not stopped up by debris, so that the lubricating oil can flow freely.

Get your tractors running &
Have a nice day,
Joe

Something Im suprized others haven't noted yet is that JINMAS don't want loaders on NON-4 wheel drive tractors as the front ends on the 2 whl drive models do not offer the weight carrying ability of the 4 whl drive brothern...

as for dealers there are several on Ohioif you check the web I'mn sure you can find them. also same for NY and PA or Mich. try searching for JINMA and the farm pro name.

Hi Mark,

Have just about googled and msn'd myself blind and really can't find much in any of these states. Maybe I am missing something but who knows.
Missouri is rampant with Farm Pro dealers but about 800 miles from my place and the shipping is a killer.

Thanks for the thoughts. Bout ready to give up and buy used or grey up here and suffer the consequences.

Tom, I live just east of Buffalo NY and the nearest dealer for Farm Pro is Winkler Sales and Service in Holley NY. I visited him and he had several of each a fiew weeks ago even a 25 hr 2420 with turfs and PS. Only problem I found was prices seemed a bit high 4500 base and 5300 for turfs and PS both EPA and 2 yr warranty. For those prices could you get a nortrac 20 hp 4wd delivered for 5995 but not sure about them delivering it to Canada. If you wanted have it delivered to my house and pick it up. Then I can make sure everything works /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
