The test drive I took, the Titan seemed have plenty of power. Had allot of good reviews, especially for towing. Any full-size pick-up would require a new garage /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I ended up looking in the mid-size SUV vs pick-ups. Came down to the Toyota 4Runner or Nissan Pathfinder. I was looking for towing capacity, and utility. Don't believe I ever compared gas mileage. I get 17-18mpg back and forth to work, and 21-22 on highway. I believe that is within what was quoted on the sticker.

That sounds about right for your Pathfinder. I used to get around that in my 720 4x4. For the Titan they claim 19 hi way and 14 city mpg. My Titan does not get better than 17 mpg on the hi way even at 55 mph but its the city mpg that's really lousy. Yes, it has great towing capacity but I have never towed with it.....company truck (they pay most of my note). I hear the rear end usually gives trouble for the ones that do tow. Good power and massive torque but acceleration is compromised by a lot of slippage of the converter....at least on mine. They say everthing is within specs....but remember there is a wide tolerance in the "normal" paramaters.....mine is obviously on the "rich-slippery" side of those paramaters. No one makes a programer yet that will re-program the Titan that I am aware of. I don't want more power....just better economy.

I'm an old hot rodder from way back and had a Datsun GTS race car. Used to race SCCA with an old Datsun 240Z..... '80s and the Zs dominated that class. Crashed the car and messed myself up but that's another story.
