360 DTC with FEL and BH
Almost a year old with only 50 hours? I am obviously having priority issues, doing other silly things rather than tractoring.

So far no problems with the tractor or BH, I am very happy with the whole setup.

Reading other posts on new tractors in general, I think dealer prep has a big impact.

Just turned over 305 hrs on my little 270. Everything tip-top and no problems so far. This being my first tractor I am still amazed at what you can do with these things. Go into low gear and 4WD and you can drag some pretty big stuff out of the woods. Also, it really helps keep my 500' or so gravel drive in shape. Add the tiller, middle buster, landscape rake, 6'rear blade and finish mower and I have an excuse to play with it all year long. Great investment to get a little alone time without looking like your trying to get alone time.;)

Dose anyone know about this kind of tractor. I saw an ad for one and I am interested in it.Wondering how they are rated and what kind of pricing they get. This one is at an auctionI have very little to go on.This is in a flyer Igot in the mail.I am looking into tractors to buy and thought maybe if price was right I would bid on it.

Hello, first post, first tractor...:D

So I got a 535 with loader or fel you internet savvy gurus. 7 hours... can give opinion as for longevity; However, power, weight, handling, grunt, auotmatic locking rear diff., having fun. the loader is strong (digging sandy/clay dry compacted earth) will a little effort. once in to softer soil does well. good wt. to power ratio.

I can only compare it to a 8N and a 841 powermaster(with fel). of which I did not own but was let to use for a time when needed.

OK....doing the 50hr service......changed the engine oil, greased the FEL, (actually made the boy grease it, that was a hoot) now for the hydraulic filter, had to use a strap wrench to loosen it. Got the drain pan in place and ready to spin the old one off and the new one on, with minimal fluid loss.

NOT so fast....spinning the new filter like mad only it ain't going on. yep, wrong size inlet....meanwhile fluids' running out while I feverishly jam the old filter back on.....now it's back to the dealer for a new, new filter.

I did the 50 hour service on my Farmtrac 300DTC last week also. I ran into the identical problem with the hydraulic filter as you described. Fortunately the dealer I purchased the tractor from is less than 10 miles from my place. When deciding on a new tractor, location of a dealer was part of my decision making process. Ny Farmtrac 300 DTC has been great so far, I have not had any isues with it.

Likewise, My dealer isn't too far, either. It was just the idea of having to stop in mid-process. (didn't want to crank the tractor without topping off the fluid and didn't want to top off just to drain it again). Anyways, got the correct filter on the way home from work yesterday & installed it when I got home.

BTW, dealer said a batch had come in mismarked. Unfortunately, the price for the wrong filter was 19.95 and the price for the correct one was 49.95. Made me want to get the wrong one back & make it fit!!

Yikes!, that sounds a bit stiff for the hydraulic filter. Hopefully the price is mismarked on the correct filter.:)
