I'm sure that's what folks said when Ford, Allis Chalmers,David Brown, Leyland, Oliver, Cockshut, Avery, Ferguson, Massey-Harris,Mpls Moline and Long to name a few shut down, merged or was bought out. You can still get parts for all those if you know where to look. I'll be the first to say I'm sure sorry this happened to Farmtrac USA. I own one and I have no worries about parts. So far as service I got better service from my Farmtrac dealer than any of the other name brands listed and more. The days of service when it was at it's best went out the door in the late 70's. I remember when tractor and even automobile dealers would come to your home or farm and try and make trades. All that's way behind us now.
I expect my Farmtrac to last as long as any other tractor I've ever had. And don't forget that Farmtrac in India is still going strong with sales in many countries around the world.
Look at IH when they had the line of tractors. Many thought they had the best tractors out there. In this day and time any company can go belly up no matter how big or how much profit they make. All it takes is the wrong decision makers to sway the company in the wrong direction. The going thing today is CEO's that make more money than ever, sending companies down the tubes and walking out with millions in bonuses from their failures. Then move on to the next sucker company and start the same old same old all over again. Remember money is behind this debacle as it is in any when this happens. If we had a clear picture of the money trail we'd all know what happened to Farmtrac USA.
I think several folks here do know and can't say in public and I understand that. It's just a shame that pure justice can't be used to the fullest extent, if this is a case with Farmtrac. Since the whole thing has been kinda hushed from the beginning with no solid answers as to why this problem occurred it all leaves me smelling snakes in the woodpile, which I suspected from the beginning. It's hard not to suspect in these times we're in now. The Farmtrac is to good of a machine and sold so well where it was offered not to make money. As I posted back in this same thread. Where is the MONEY? When we see proof of where the money went then we'll know why.
Hope your tractor company can hang through these times. I expect to see more of the same for some time to come.
