Dealer Fayette Tractors

   / Fayette Tractors #11
I have a VN tractor to. I have a bad 3pt valve that they took care of. Had a loose fitting on the injector leaking fuel so i put a new return rubber hose on it, to fix that . They put a new voltage regulator on it. And i had a split tank on top of my radiator at first, they kept pulling used ones and they kept leaking in various places so they finially gave me a brand new china made, im sure, replacement, which has operated fine through the winter and this summer durring some hard bushhogging and disking.

These were sorted out at first. The concern is quality control and dealer support.

I may have a VN also even though the Dealer didn't know were it came from it was a trade in. After having to make a few repairs and seeing some on the Cheap repaired parts and no ROP's I'm pretty much sure of it. Brandon perfect example the filter you recieved did you notice the way the screen was repaired/replaced with liquid weld? That is why I didn't toss it but replaced it. If you see a new one you will know what I'm talking about. And seeing you Makeing Posts like this Thanks for holding up to your side of the agreement. Your better off with what you have and know what has been done to it. It's a Work Horse You'll make it look better. That doesn't really matter. I'm a perfect example of that I'm beat down banged up and alittle slow. But atleast when I finally got home The Wifey said that really didn't matter. She was just glad I could still get the Job done.:p:laughing:

It's good to hear that not all Vietnam recons are trouble. They sure look nice enough.

I think that if I had the money to buy from a dealer, I'd certainly cough up the extra $$ and get one redone here. I like that one year guarantee, and also how much more IS a U.S. recon tractor?

"My impression is that they are a top-tier outfit. They are the ones who went to Custom Products (apparently the mfr of ROPS for the US Yanmars long ago) and contracted them to build certified ROPS for everything they import. That must have been expensive considering the testing. I think all the folding ROPS sold here came from Fredricks. I wish there were some retailers on the west coast selling Fredricks tractors."
California,

I looked seriously at machines from R.C.O. in Austin, Texas. I got a very good feeling from the conversations I had with them. The machine I bought from a private seller was purchased at LMTC in Ohio. After dealing with Wayne, I would not hesitate to buy from him either. I don't know about LMTC, but R.C.O. ships in bulk; it was only gonna cost $900 to get it to Rhode Island from Texas. And, like LMTC, R.C.O. sells, beautiful Yanmars, done in the U.S.A., with a great guarantee. Worth looking into. (I sure wish I had what it costs to buy a shiny newly reconditioned machine!!!!)

I'm a vn tractor owner so qualified to comment here. I just called vn tractor in the Dallas area and talked with one of their people. They do handle parts for the vtek loaders. Interesting that he said they ship the material to Asia and have the loaders built. They do not handle parts for the Bulldog loader. These are different company's. I have never needed parts for my Bulldog loader but do know the fittings on cylinders and valve are common jic hydraulic fittings with standard 1/4" hydraulic hose which is plenty big enough for a 6gpm pump. I agree with Clemsonfor about the dealer is very important no matter where the tractor was or was not refurbished, spit shined or whatever. LCI Products in Wills Point Texas does handle parts or the Bulldog loaders. Like $190 or so for a cylinder. Don't know whether that is good or bad. I'd probably rebuild.

I have seen ads on CL for spalding tractors where the tractor was the same price or less than my yanmar as a vn recon. Spalding sells fredrics and has a 1 yr warrenty to for labor and parts. In the end it did not matter all my problems were at first and i am now out of that 1 yr window. Not saying he was bad, had i done more homework i would have bought from spalding, may have meant less trips to get parts for me.

Steve at Spalding Tractor is a fantastic Guy. Wouldn't even consider going any were else in Ga. without Checking him out first. Won't be any need to replace my ym2000 I bought from him. It will most likely outlast me. Plus I 0wn a 8n Funk6 that is retired all Orig.and intact. Put it Up Looks like it's going to be a very Rare model. Also Had a ym2500 bought from Spalding refurbished coming up on a yr. and haven't heard of any problems with it in Months. The only one's they had were operator error and a easy to fix and get corrected. Had other calls at least I don't have to worry about it.The last time I was out, Thier fields looked great and I don't have to cut them anymore now that Father Marty learned to use it:laughing:. I am Tired of wearing out Lawn mowers/Garden tractors. Fredricks Refurbish Yanmars seem Top Notch just don't have much of anything good to say about one of thier Ohio dealers. Thats Just MO.
