I don't think it went north of you, I think it dumped all of it's rain on us and didn't have any left to drop on you, so it just went away with it's tail tucked.
Trust us when we tell you that Fay dropped enough rain on the east coast to make up for you missing it.
As far as that bright yellow dot in the sky, I am still trying to figure that one out. I got my welding shield out and looked at it, but still no idea of what it is supposed to be...

I am in NW Georgia and we are getting some of the outer bands with a little rain. We need the rain so the 1/2 inch we have had so far is welcome. My friend in Tallahassee e-mailed me this morning that they received 14”.

Yeah, North Georgia, East Tennessee and the Western Carolinas need it bad.

I turned the TV the other day when it was hammering North Florida and they showed a picnic table with some ducks standing under it. So you know it's bad when the ducks have to find shelter from the rain!!!

Hope y'all get the rain you need. Will all those windbags in Congress on vacation, it should have set up a negative/low pressure area pulling that rain your way!

putting a serious cramp in my plans to get lots of work done on the farm..

I've got spots on the high areas of my property that are holding 2-4" of water in areas it can't drain away from.. and inthe lower areas near the pig pens.. maybee 6" in some areas..

need some time to soak it all up!

Fay has been doing her thing here in N.W. Georgia the last few days. We have about 4” of rain as of this morning. Local weather says another 11/2 days of off and on rain. We needed the rain so I am ok waiting on the mowing.

Friends in Tallahassee, Fla. tell me they had 15” plus. That is a fair amount of rain in 2 or 3 days.

South florida areas.. like coco beach and marathon got like 28".. some places the rain has stopped.. but the ground is so saturated and water is flowing off other areas.. that the water is still rising!

Yes, the rain is VERY welcome here (E TN). Up to now we were short by a bit more than 12". It started raining very late Sunday or very early Mon. Either way this morning the gauge had almost 3" in it and its been raining steadily all day and is supposed to continue thru the night and into tomorrow AM. If we can get 6" that'll sort of erase some of the short fall. The bad part of getting all the rain in such short time is that a substantial portion will run off b/c the soil is so dry. If we could get 3 or 4 more rains back to back that would be super. Then again its not like you can order up those sorts of things. Ill be happy w/ whatever we get. On the bright side I ripped my back field so it'll get the best benefit from this rain.
