Yes, saw that on TWC this AM. It looked like the actual track for the US is still TBD. Hope it does come our way instead of going out into the Gulf of Mx...we certainly still need the rain.

1/2" yesterday, 1.5" today here in NC. It was much needed.

When I got home last night the gauge was full (5") so I dumped it. This morning there was an additional .8" in it. I think today is just hit/miss showers so maybe we can just make it to the 6" mark. Even so Im very happy w/ what we got.

We are getting a nice gentle steady rain from it today.
It started yesterday evening about dusk.
Boy we sure need it here.
It's been really dry this summer.

South of Brad in NC.

Fay started giving water Tuesday night. We had some RAIN yesterday. Checked the gauge and we had 2.14 inches yesterday evening. More rain came in over night. We needed it.

A creek to our front had been dry dry dry for weeks. It was overflowing yesterday. Jordan was down quite a bit so there was a lot of dirt showing with grass growing when I drove by last evening. This morning the water was up in the trees. Looks like the lake came up a foot or so. The Haw was in full flood which I have not seen in a long time.

We need the rain. Western NC needs more. That other storm brewing in the Atlantic looks like it might head our way..... Rain is ok but we don't need another Floyd. Wind can stay away. We have enough dead trees from the drought.

Later,
Dan

Its all finished here and wound up w/ right at 6". Looks like a couple more storms are on the way. We might be able to completely erase this yrs deficit and work some on last yrs. Sure would be nice!!

I'd rather have it spread out all year, than 28" in 5 days.. etc..
