I for one am hoping that this new improvement in fuel quality will open the way for some of the great European diesel cars to be imported... Having rented and driven them over there, I would love to use one at home. We got 35+ mpg in a full-size car, hauling 4 people around, and noted that with the torque available, performance wasn't lacking!

I Europe, two of my brother-in-laws owns a Opel diesel cars and they claim of getting around 51-53 miles to a galon of diesel (if I converted those figures correctly) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Those a sedan type cars with 2 liter turbocharged engines.......

Well Bob, it didn't quite work out the way I thought. I filled up my Ronco Frybaby with the new biodiesel. You know, that stuff is supposed to be more environmentally friendly. I then fixed the family a meal of french fries, deep fried burgers, and fried green beans. (remember, here in S. IN we fry everything) It still tasted a bit like diesel, but with enough salt and pepper it was okay. It sort of gave me bad gas this morning though. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Everytime I blow one, I think someone is trying to steal my tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

No to mention all that stuff in everyones lungs 24-7, including the current national epidemic of asthma in our kids too. NOT nice.
