Feds to require CDL for farm tractors

What on earth does preparing for and getting a CDL have to do with operating a combine or tractor on a public highway? The proposed regs said NOTHING about requiring training for the equipment in question, just stuffing OTR truck regulations down farmer's and farm worker's throats.

Absolutely nothing.

It's all about the money..........more revenue. nothing more, nothing less.

Ok I agree it's just another money grab. If the govt wants to grab some cash, go after the RV's. There is a side bar in this article RVs beckon baby boomers despite fuel costs - USATODAY.com 8 million house holds have at least one RV. There is some coin to be made there. I believe that one of the linked articles mentioned 800 thousand vehicles that fell into the farm equipment catagory.

Hopefully, some staffer in a hidden office somewhere is reviewing these posts and passes them up to the "unelected decision makers" as a continuous reminder to "leave us alone".

It will probably return again in the future. I just hope real distant! Are politicians are having tough time getting ends to meet with the slow down in business because to much money has to be given to the government to share with others.

One of the biggest reasons why the politicians are having a hard time making ends meet is because the government is too involved in the everyday lives of average Americans....So their solution is to get MORE involved in the everyday lives of average Americans...
