As I understand it;
Position and draft control are implemented via a few linkages, e.g. put the lever to a particular position to open the valve that lifts the 3pt.
That lever operates a linkage to the piston that operates the rock shaft, the rock shaft operates another link and when the rock shaft reaches the desired position the valve closes - reversible for lowering, typically by opening a by-pass.
Draft is similar, a re-active force (from plowing into a hard spot) exerts a push into the top link, which pushes another linkage that opens the same valve to operate the rock shaft's piston. When the re-active force is reduced the top link is relaxed, the rock shaft returns to wherever the position control was set (at a rate determined by the lowering speed control).
All this forms a neat little analog computer not unlike all the pivots and bell cranks on carburetors, though less complex (-:
On some Kukje tractors there is also a feedback lever that provides another input.
It is clearly there for a 3 pt attachment and it takes very little force to pull and open the valve that (the sequence that raises the 3pt.).
In the Branson workshop manual it is shown for use with a rototiller and although the drawings are only schematic it appears to operate off the rear door (flap) of the tiller.
My GUESS is that with a little BBCE (bicycle brake cable engineering) this could be used with any number of implements.
QUESTIONS:
Is this a common "external input" to 3pt control ?
Who has used it for such things as semi-automatic depth control in tasks such as tilling, or in conjunction with gauge wheels for grading ?
