I bought a battery controled dear feeder and bolted it to a tall 4x4 attached to my dock. It was very much less expensive than an automatic fish feeder. The only problem I had was a war with the racoons. They wanted the food worse than the fish did and we battled for months. Finally I have it coon proof, but it was nip and tuck for awhile. The feeder goes off twice day and runs for 4 seconds each time. I use 50 lbs every 3 weeks. Since its a 10 acre lake I am feeding for fun not for growth.

I just bought the 1/4 HP unit for my pond and will have it instaled by Wed. I replaced the former home made system using a sump pump. I think this system will help destratify the pond better, and the electricity stays on land.

Yup, same system. Theirs is $429, mine was 495, so I overpaid by a bit.

The system is installed, and it has surpassed my expectaions. Within 1/2 hour, I could smell the difference, meaning the gasses from the dpetihs of the pond were starting to release. My pond did not smell, but after the aerator sarted working, I could get whiffs of the gasses as the were released to the surface. Best $500 I have spent in the last year for sure.
