Now, why do you say that? You KNOW that your 2810HST isn't going to wear out don't you?!?!;)
Torin (2810HST owner)
I'm not thinking of doing anything with the 2810hst except keep it. I really love it and it has done a lot more then I ever expected, especially the loader. It's got to be the best thing I ever bought. Find new uses for it all the time.
If I bought another tractor, it would be a small one to mow the yard. The 2810hst is a little too heavy in wet weather with loaded tires.

WOW , tractors on display at the Big E !!!

We went to the Big E last year and was disappointed at the farm equipment on display at what is billed as the seventh largest fair in the US.
I found more equipment to look at the small county fairs in NH.......

It was a great place if you wanted to look at Hot tubs or tool sheds, or eat fried bread dough.

Glad to see TYM dealers are coming to the New England area.

With Mahindra moving away from the 10 series machines ( at least the lower HP units in favor of the 15 series ) you have to wonder how committed Mahindra will be to us 10 series owners years down the road on parts.

It is a little unsettling I may have the equivalent of a Gray market machine.

It appears other than the engine it is the same tractor.
I might look at TYM the next time I buy a new machine.........

I know what you mean. It leaves ruts on my lawn whenever I go across it when it's wet. I know there are members that mow with even bigger tractors but their soil can't be anything like mine.

I believe Keats in Keene is getting (or has) TYM. I think they are an impressive machine.

It is very sad to an old timer like me that the Eastern States Exposition has turned almost entirely into a hot tubs and tool sheds show. :( While that may be a slight exaggeration, it really does feel that way... especially when you go there looking for serious equipment for serious needs. It was a pleasant surprise to find the new TYMs on display... even if they were more aimed at yuppie homeowners than farmers.

I think I have to move up to New Hampshire like you. Is there still room up there for Massachusetts refugees? :)

Don't blame you a bit! :) I'm sure you're following what's going on down here in Taxachusetts... and it ain't pretty. We are getting ready to elect Dukakis II. I barely survived Dukakis I... almost went belly-up broke!

Just find me a quiet place with a few acres not too far from the Mahindra dealer and I'll be one happy camper! :D Maybe he'll even give me a job... yes? An employee discount would be extremely  !!! After the prices I got today on a Bradco grapple bucket and fixed BH thumb from the local CAT dealer, I'm ready to do or go anywhere to save a few bucks!!!

JPM - If I wasn't a poor unemployed old man and was as rich as you up there in God's country with that 511 monster backhoe... of course I would go for the hydraulic thumb! :D I mean, what the heck? It's only $2K and change! :D Plus installation :D Peanuts man... peanuts!!! :)

Seriously, I don't see the big advantage of the hydraulic over the fixed for what I intend to do... i.e., pickup and move the occasional large rock or log. Don't forget... I will still have the FEL grapple. I can do a lot with that, assuming it is installed or with me on the trailer. If I am missing something obvious, please fill me in.

And thanks very much for the offer... it sounds like you did the conversion thang from fixed... but I'm not sure the folding part alone helps me much. Now... if you want to sell that whole dang hydraulic contraption... and assuming it will fit my puny little 509... please let me know! :D

Dougster

p.s., A 511 with hydraulic thumb on a 4110? Honest? I am jealous!!! :(

dougster i'm also a poor unemployed almost old man but i'm doing my kids a
favor by spending it all so they don't have to fight over a couple of $$ .the hyd works for the rocks much better the fixed so,,,
