FEL & 3pt hitch not working after oil/filter change

   / FEL & 3pt hitch not working after oil/filter change #11
On hydraulics and engines it is best to fill the filter for two reasons: 1) The pump can draw oil right away instead of a slug of air. 2) Oil pressure impacting a dry filter element can potentially rupture it rendering the filter useless.

Any tricks to filling one horizontally mounted?

I would not run the engine till I had pulled oil thru the pump those pumps do not like being run dry very long.

Might be a little late for this one Wish me luck.

Which ever is the easiest, at the valve will give you a hose to stick in a bucket.
If the filter hangs down vertical it might help if it's horizontal it is hard to do.

It worked! I removed a plug in the top of the pump and used a rubber tube for the vac, which might expect why it took a while... The wait did give me time to pull the filter and dump fluid all over the driveway...

Everything is working great! Thanks for the help!
