FEL Attachment for brush work?

I love the grapples. Wish I could afford one, wish the tractor was big enough and had enough capacity to handle it, wish I had front remotes to handle the hydraulics.

But, I don't. My little TC18 will have to do me. And, I don't have any sort of quick disconnect to remove the bucket. So, I came up with my own root digger. I got a used, bent up box blade from my dealer for less money than the scarifiers woould have cost, and welded it up into a bucket-mounted frame.

Here's the link as I built it: bucket mounted root rake

Don, I wonder why your user name is now "poster" on that link. I've seen a couple of these lately, one of them was Henro. Seems strange since you're still here under OkeeDon.
BTW, I enjoyed your project. Looks very useful. Thanks, John

John, I think it was because the old post was from before Don had registered as a member.

Seefyre,
I'm just a little north of you but we have the same type of brush and soil to work with. I have found the toothbar to be a great asset to the loader. I posted a link when I was first starting my clearing and there is a picture or two of what the toothbar was doing to the brush. Here is the link . Hope this helps. Where abouts are you at in the SW. I'm up in the north puget sound area.

The reason some of those people appear as Poster is that around that time the TBN servers suffered a crash of some sort. Because of that some people got deleted. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I appreciate the photos Steve, I can see clearly what the toothbar is doing for you and I am impressed. We do have similiar ground and I plan on doing simliar projects. I'm down near the Vancouver area.

I'll have to go with Jay's explanation as I don't believe anyone can post if not registered. Besides, at one time the name must have been there because some responders mentioned his name. I do believe I did read something about the crashing and problems now that it's been mentioned.
Thanks Greg and Jay for the answers. John
