I don't think it would hurt the bucket. It would definitely burn the paint off though not to mention burning the paint and it getting in the food.

I would call that a griddle. There's even a bottle of olive oil for non-stick cooking.

I will take the one on the left by itself it's off the direct fire . . . I like mine med rare to rare
