Great setup for counterweight! How did you attach the concrete to the angle iron used to connect to the 3PH?

I first build an a-frame from 2x2 angle about 32" tall with a piece of 2x2 square tubing down the middle, welded together at the top along with toplink ears. Then welded the lift brackets down about 18". I welded the hitch bar to the tubing and drilled two holes on each side of the angle attaching four pieces of allthread about 10" long. On the other treaded end I put a nut an large flat washer. welded pieces of rebars to it all,built a box,cut a hole in the back panel for the hitch .I then put the back panel on the hitch setting the entire a-frame unit in the box pured concrete and added the tool carrier after it set up.

Here is an ideal for anyone that doesnt want to use sand or concrete in a balast box. What I did was went to a farm auction and bought a carryall 3 point hitch forks. Then I took a piece of 6inch sqaure metal tubing and cut it in half so i had about 2 peices each at 2 feet in length. Then I took a large peice of plate steel and welded to the tubing so it would fit on the forks. Then i rebar to the plate steel for rods to hold on more plates. Then i took more plate steel and used a plasma cutter to cut holes in them. I have the frame which weighs about 250 pounds then i have 5 more peices of plate steel that will add up to about 1000 pounds. It is nice that is is removeable and I can use the forks for other purposes.

Great pics BUT if you add a chunk of square tube to act as a reciever for a trailer ball you also get a spot to drop a tow rope etc over when not moving trailers around the yard....Pat
