Kubota BX1500 w/ R1's and LA181 FEL
I recently priced out an FEL for my BX1500 at four different dealerships. After looking at the prices I called one back and placed a verbal order. The salesman initially said he didn't have one in inventory but knew another dealership where he could get it. As it turns out, they didn't have one either so he supposively ordered one from Kubota but said they were backordered. To my knowledge BX1500 production stopped quite a while ago. Is Kubota still making LA181's or is this guy jsut blowing smoke?

If I can't get an LA181, besides having slightly longer arms is there any reason why an LA211 wouldn't work (with extra rear ballast)? Is the Woods unit a good alternative to a factory FEL?

The wholegoods book states subject to availability! That means that you might find a dealer with one but they are not building them anymore.

As far as making the larger one work, I'd say it might fit with some modifications.

To answer as to after market, if it picks more then the factory unit stay away! Many companies use one frame for many models and some of them do put more load on the front axle then others as well as the manufacturer recommends!

With the thoughts of using the 211 I'd recommend rear ballast on the three point making the rear axle a pivot point to reduce the load on the front axle!

I went thru this a couple years back...........due to availability and cost I came home with a new BX1850!! Now I want to sell the loader for the BX as I have a B7500 now.
