Hey Guys, First Post on site, Been Lurking for a long time. I bought an L3400 with 463 FEL about a year ago. Love it, and have been getting some great info from this site. I'm in need of some loader forks to attach to FEL. You guys have any Recommedations? Thanks

Clamp-ons or ones for a QA loader?

For clamp-ons there are plenty of threads about them here. Just do a search. If you have any welding skills at all I offer free plans to build your own. Just PM me with your real address. Now over 250 satisfied TBN'ers have them.

There are several manufacturers of QA pallet forks. Again, searching TBN will give you lots of recommendations.

Well they do offer a quick tach for the B7800 but it isn't what you think. It won't take skid stear stuff like the 403 loader. It will take a pallet fork setup but it is specific to that loader and it a bit more pricey. I was gona do it but said forget it and went with some other things

Timber,

I looked at that one too, but as you said, it's not really QA in the skid steer sense. The 403 for the B3030 is the same, I think. You get pallet forks and different buckets but the connections are not compatible to QA gear like grapples and blades, etc.

Like any good tractor owner, at the time I thought if I ever really need this kind of versatility, it will be a great excuse to move up to a Grand L series tractor!!

Another option to the QA problem on the B7800/L3400 models is to consider a third party brand FEL. Woods, Bush Hog, and I'm sure others offer a true skid steer QA option on FEL's that fit these tractors. From what I've seen, the fit and finish on the Bush Hog models is every bit as good as the OEM model from Kubota and you can even get it in Bota orange.

If I had been a little more tractor savvy when I bought my B7800 (coming up on 300 hrs), I would have bought a Bush Hog FEL with the QA option. At the time though, I didn't know the difference between a tractor and a forklift!! Live and learn.

Isn't that the truth. I am very pleased so far though. I have to admit though the size of this thing is great. I can swing it around in a pretty small space. I can go all the way into my stalls with it and its great on my fire roads. I'm sure there will be times when I wish I had more power and wt. but there is ,much to be said for maneuverability

My new Bush Hog 2045 FEL (in Kubota Orange) is being installed on my L3830GST even as I am typing this. It has the skid-steer-style QA on the bucket. I can't wait to try it out! I will post pictures on Monday.

Kubota doesn't adverstise the QA for the L2800/3400 but it does exist. Model L2230A will fit and you have to weld a QA plate to the back side of your FEL bucket then get some QA forks.
Here is my set-up.http://www.picturetrails.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8530405&uid=2416888

I just went through the exact dame thing with my Dealer for MY L3400. He quoted the exact same part number above. My question:

Is the unit complete? Other than the welding on my bucket, will I need to fabricate anything else?

I was quoted $ 396.00 + TX, does this sound right?
