Still, he is using the rod. I'd like this to be fully electronic.
Design one, and if it is not too expensive, I expect people would be interested in buying it.. I was able to straighten my pretzled up rod. It happened on mine in the first few hours of use. I put it in a thread here. It was because the rod holder loosened up. I fixed the damage and made sure it would never happen again with locktight and stippling of the threads. The rod is made of good quality steel and can be rebent back straight with some judicious work.

James, mine came loose on my new DK50 within the first 30 minutes of use. Luckily, I noticed it before pretzeling it. Put some blue loctite on the threads and tightened it up and it has stayed so far. Thought about using red loctite but decided against it.
