FEL Lubrication

Looking in my owners book(la181)is say's to grease the fittings every 10 hours of use which I do. But it also says lubricate joints of control lever linkage every 10 hours /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif What joints are they talking about /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

How do I access it. Do i have to pull the cover off? Is there a zerk fitting?

Take the cover off and spray the mechanisms with white lithium spray grease. I only do it about once every 50 hours or so though.

I’m assuming we are talking about the black cover that’s held on by four Philip head screws. Looks like I have to remove the battery cover (radiator pre screen) to access the inside lower screw?

Here is a picture I borrowed from <font color="orange"> Kubota's </font>site. The driver has his right hand on Joystick. Lube the linkage at other end of stick. Yes you may need to remove cover.

What's the trick to getting off the cover on the LA 402 loader?
I sure would like to grease the linkage, now that I know where it is /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, but I can't figure out how it is clipped on.

My FEL has a metal cover over the linkage. It can be removed by removing 3 bolts that hold it on under the valve mounting bracket.

My loader valve has a black plastic cover on top. It looks like I have to take that off to get to the linkage, but I can't figure out how it is attached. I'll take some pictures but it will be about 2 weeks.

I copies this from the 402 parts list. Looks like the plastic one use the same bolts as my metal cover. Hope this helps.
