22 SANY SY 50U, '10 Kioti DK 40se/hst KL-401 FEL, loaded tires, KB-2485 bhoe, Tuffline TB160 BB, Woods QA forks, MIE Hydraulic bhoe thumb & ripper tooth, Igland 4001 winch, & GR-20 Log Grapple. Woods BBX72" Brush Mower. Diamondplate aluminum canopy
I'm finding that my Kioti DK-35se/hst's KL-351 loader piston's housings are able to reach to the point where they can hit and damage the FEL's arms, under where the piston emerges from its housing on both sides of the FEL. Is this something that a stop of some kind is supposed to prevent? Am I doing something wrong? Am I pushing my hydraulics past a stop point I'm unaware of?
I'm somewhat baffled by this and would like to know how to remedy it or prevent it from happening.

Thanks.

If I'm thinking what I think is happening,,,,DO NOT push beyond the point of 'touching'.

I would plan on some type of shims or something to stop hydraulic forces when 'things' touch.

Go beyond that and 'they' bend.

Ummmm.... that bad, Touching fel arms:eek: Bad things WILL happen if left that way....... How long has it been that way? Kioti surely did not design things that way, If I am thinking of it right.. PICTURES MAN, PICTURES:D

I'll work on getting some pics - right now she's stuck in the snow on the side of my driveway, backhoe bottomed out when left rear hit soft spot in ditch:( I was going to remove the bh today but the guy who sands blew out his sander's trans and can't get me sanded 'till Friday, so I was trying to take up some slack 'cause of needing deliveries.

Seems to me like there is nothing to stop the piston's housing from touching the FEL arm(s) on either side when the bucket control is in certain positions- it's definitely doing some damage to the bucket, and various parts of the FEL; I just can't figure out yet why it is happening- whether it is operator error or design flaw/ manufacturing error or something out of adjustment. I don't really see how it could be adjusted, unless it is up to the operator to stop the extension of the piston before it goes too far toward the piston fully extended out position. Fully extended out causes parts to touch/ press on each other that otherwise shouldn't/couldn't?!

Why can't you push yourself out with the BH?????

Why can't you push yourself out with the BH?????

like he said
or lift up the back end with the hoe and swing it over on drive.
It will take me more time to swing the seat around to do it than to actually do it.

Rob (3rrrl) had an issue with his wives loader cylinders hitting the frame too search for that thread.

Thanks guys, I can and probably would use the bh to get me out of the ditch but I was done for the day/night at the point I got stuck so I left it for daylight. Fortunately my across the road neighbor came over with his 'bota and pulled me out with my chain this am.

The closer I look I think there is a defect in design for the fel pistons to be able to hit the fel arms. I do have some bent metal as a result of this problem.

I know pics, pics- I'll get to it as as I can- I've got a ton of slippery as snot snow all over my drive and about 10 contractor trucks needing access to the barn....

1 thing at a time:)

tommu56,
Can't seem to find the thread that you are referring to:

Can you help me further in who the author is? (3rrrl)It comes up as invalid user in the search feature...

Thanks again to all who've replied to my thread.....:)

Tom,
Thanks! :D
I found the thread, or should say went to it after you found it for me and read the entire thing.
It confirms what I already thought- possibly the wrong length pistons were installed when the fel was assembled, or something similar. I doubt Kioti missed it completely as an engineering error like in the thread, but I suppose that is possible too.
One way or another it has to be remmied, I have sustained some amount of damage already and am glad I caught it before the pistons bent or worse.
